Getting Started

Welcome to First Landings!

This portal is designed to give you all of the tools you’ll need to succeed on your journey to becoming a pilot.

Follow the steps below to get started:

Step 1

Setup Microsoft Teams

This software will give you access to remote training and ground school through video chat with educational resources such as a whiteboard, file sharing, and PowerPoints designed by First Landings to match our training curriculum. Having this available from the beginning will help to make sure that your training stays on track to meet your goals.

Step 2

Create a Flight Schedule Pro Account

Flight Schedule Pro is our scheduling software for booking flights and training reservations. From this tool you are able to coordinate your schedule with our instructors. In addition to the website there is an iOS App that can be downloaded from the App Store.

Step 3

Apply for your student Pilot’s License

Obtaining a student pilot license is an important part of getting ready to start your training. This is a requirement to have before your first solo flight. There is a two-step process that needs to be completed. First you will need to fill out an application in IACRA and then have your flight instructor sign and approve it. Having the application completed before you come in will save time.

If you do not already have an IACRA account you will first need to create one here:

Create New IACRA Account

Following this you will need to create and submit an application for your student license.

Select “Accept TOS as –> Applicant”
Then Select “Start New Application”
Following this choose Pilot -> Student Pilot and begin the application.
Fill out the application to the best of your ability.
Make sure to save your login credentials because we will need those to sign your application when you come in.
